Bloody Hell

They tried to cut out my heart. But before I was a vampire, I was a witch. They couldn’t get rid of me that easily.

My name's Mercy Brown-but don't let my name fool you. I'm merciless.

It had been almost a century and a half since I last encountered anyone from the Order of the Morning Dawn. They were religious fundamentalists with the dual goal of eliminating vampires and witches.

Being both a vampire and a witch I was the embodiment of everything the Order hates. Their first attempt to eliminate me failed. Thanks to the fact that my mentor in the Craft was also a necromancer.

When they burned my heart they didn’t kill me. They unwittingly completed a spell that tied my existence to the soul of one who took my place in hell.

Now I’m heartless, literally.

Not having a heart has some advantages. It means I’m pretty resilient, especially when it comes to wooden stakes.

So long as the soul bound to my existence remained in hell, I was virtually invincible.

But the Order figured it out. They hope to redeem the soul who was damned in my stead. If they do that, I’ll meet the true death for sure.  I have to capture the one damned in my place before the Order manages to liberate him from perdition. If they free him, I will die.

I have to go to bloody hell.

Bloody Mad

A vampire in an asylum? Like that is going to end well...

What in bloody hell were they thinking when the locked me up in the Vilokan Asylum for the Magically and Mentally Deranged? They had to be crazy.

I mean, it was just a few mutilated bodies in the French Quarter. And it wasn’t like I was in control of myself.

It was him…

My damned brother, who possessed me, took over…

Not like the quacks here would ever believe me. I mean, how exactly does a girl go about explaining that the voice inside her head made her do it without coming across as certifiably insane?

It was something I contracted when I fed. That’s what gave him the chance to take over. Something demonic, infecting humans and making us vulnerable to possession.

And if that wasn’t enough, there’s more going on in this asylum than I thought. Something connected to the Order of the Morning Dawn and a demonic scheme to infect humans, possess vampires, and dominate the world.

There’s more at stake here then my sanity. I have to get the hell out of here before it’s too late.

I have to stop them.

Bloody Wicked

Taking on a horde of demon possessed vampires? Time to get wicked.

You’d think when a plague that threatens all of vampire kind (not to mention the world) is afoot alerting the Vampire Council would be the responsible thing to do…

I was too late… and now the already possessed council is coming after me.

If only I could access the infernal power Edwin brought with him when he bound himself to me in hell…

There is one item that might allow me to tap into that power:  a flambeaux once made by the Witch of Endor.

Unfortunately, the infernal object is guarded by Cajun werewolves and the nasty ghost of a voodoo priestess. Not to mention, the possessed council is trying to get the item themselves.

To get there first, to claim the object, I’ll have to be ruthless. I’ll have to embrace my inner darkness. I’ll have to be bloody wicked. Hell, it’s only the fate of the whole world that depends on it.

Bloody Devils

We were the terrors of New Orleans... and humanity's only hope.

We called ourselves the "weird sisters."  Two vampires and a re-materialized ghost.

We thought we’d vanquished Asmodeus. But he's back. He found a new host. And now he wants to work with us? But after all I lost because of him, I was more inclined to blast his demonic ass back to hell than accept his help.

Yes, I embraced my inner-wickedness. I could access infernal power and take down the demons one at a time...

If you thought I was heartless before...

But there's a new demon on the scene. Legion. A demon who claims multiple hosts at once and is replicating himself more quickly than I can take them down. Dozens, potentially hundreds and eventually thouasands, of new vampires, all possessed by one devilish mind... all working as one.

And Asmodeus tells us he can help us take him down...

The prophecy had said I’d be called “antichrist,” I’d be the bloody devil incarnate. The queen of demons… but these demons won’t bend the knee to me or anyone else. And I sure as hell can't trust Asmodeus. He has his own diabolical motives. But if I don't accept his help, we're as good as done. Legion will create and claim more vampire hosts than I can possibly handle... and if he succeeds, not only will humanity be lost, but all of vampire kind will be damned to demonic enslavement.

I’m Mercy, and together we are the weird sisters. We’re badass bitches with something to prove. But if we’re going to save human kind, and therefore all of vampire kind, we need something else… someone else… and we need to figure it out soon before this demon horde spreads any further.

Bloody Gods

I’ve always been the hunter. Now, I’m the hunted.

The dead have returned. I never thought I’d see them again…

But they aren’t here to help.

Moll has evoked the Great Horned God—the Wild Hunt has begun…

I only have one option: run, and hope I can outlast the duration of the hunt.

My best chance? To go back to where it all started. We have to return to Exeter… I don’t want to go to the Order for help, but if they think some some pagan god is coming to town, bringing Moll with him, they’ll have to get involved. If there’s anyone they hate more than me, it’s Moll…

Of course, that means I’ll have to deal with them, too.

How does the saying go? The enemy of my enemy is… Well, that’s a bunch of crap. They’re still my enemy.

And now they’re closing in on me from all sides.

★★★★★ I absolutely love Mercy! A witchy vampire! She is tricked into becoming an immortal vampire, and her heart ripped from her. From the 1st book I was captivated by her inner demons and her determination to be totally heartless. Yet she loves and feels compelled to rid the world of demons and evil, so not in line with what a vampire should be! She finds friends and long lost family and together they save humanity. From werewolves to witches, to demons hellbent on taking over the world, Mercy and company are a delight to follow! Well written, highly recommended. (Amazon Reviewer)
